🌿 DIY: Tea Time 🌿

Some of our favorite teas have amazing benefits!

🌿 Rooibos Tea! This is one awesome RED Tea! It comes with No Caffeine, boosts immune system, eases stomach cramps and even helps with blood circulation.

🌿 Green Tea helps with WEIGHT LOSS? If you feel hungry between meals, make a cup of tea. Boosts metabolism the warmth of the tea is so satisfying.

🌿 Honeybush tea- another African tea – is absolutely delicious! Add some honey and nut milk to this tea and it’s like dessert in a cup! This tea is known to help with regulating sugar levels.

Let’s make a goal to integrate 2 of the tea recipes below for the rest of the week!

You can add these oils to water or even add a Rooibos, Honeybush or a green tea bag to these oils.

Cooking with Essential Oils, DIY Recipes, For Fun

It’s a very wet, rainy day 🌧 here in #vancouver so a cup of hot chocolate is in order. Check out the recipe below and tell me which #essentialoil did you use…☕

Ingredients

– 1 cup water

– 5 teaspoons cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon liquid stevia or 1 ½ teaspoon powdered stevia (amount of sweetener can be adjusted to taste)

1–2 tablespoons sugar or agave (optional)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or ¼ teaspoon almond extract

– 3 cups almond milk, milk, or whichever you prefer to use.

– use 1 drop of your selected essential oil.

Recommended Essential Oils:

Cinnamon Bark

Lavender

Wild Orange

Peppermint

Cinnamon Bark

Instructions:

Heat water, cocoa powder, and sweetener on stove until ingredients are smooth.

Add vanilla and milk and bring to a simmer.

Pour into your favorite mug.

Introduce flavor by swirling a toothpick dipped in your favorite essential oil.

Tip: For extra creamy cocoa, replace the water with equal parts milk or almond milk.

Turmeric Latte Recipe

 

 

INGREDIENTS

1 drop turmeric oil
¼ – ½ teaspoon ground ginger or a
toothpick dipped in ginger oil
1 pinch black pepper or a toothpick dipped
in black pepper
1 heaped teaspoon honey
1 heaped Tablespoon nut butter {your
choice}
1½ cups water, milk, or non-dairy
alternative

½-¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch of sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until
    smooth and frothy.
  • Warm up in a small pot and pour into mugs, or pour
    into mugs and warm in the microwave.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and serve.

Pancake Recipe to Help Boost Your Immune System

Ingredients
2 ripe bananas
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup flour
¼ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup plain greek yogurt
¾ cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup chopped walnuts, optional
¼ cup canola oil
2–4 drops of doTERRA On Guard Protective Blend (to taste)
 
Instructions
  1. Mash bananas in medium mixing bowl; mix in yogurt, eggs, milk, canola oil, vanilla, and doTERRA On Guard.
  2. In large mixing bowl add oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and walnuts; mix well.
  3. Add banana mixture to dry ingredients and mix. Do not over mix.
  4. Spray griddle with non-stick spray, use small ladle to scoop out mixture to griddle. Cook on medium to high heat. Cook as you would regular pancakes, waiting for bubbles to appear then flip.
